In the Wagga R3 Long Lunch at the Grandview Marquee on 28 February, the Country Boosted Maiden Handicap featured Blue Cattle Dog, a 4yo brown/black gelding from Australia trained by Michael Travers in Wagga Wagga. He is out of the mare Konia and by the stallion Wolf Cry. The horse has not yet won, remaining maiden after eight starts. In his latest start at Tumut on 17 January 2026, ridden by Michael Heagney, he finished fourth behind winner Explosive Style.
