Direct Star, a 13yo ch mare, is trained by Leda Beck, who is based at Winton. She is by Sir Percy out of Star Parade. The filly has not yet broken her maiden, having failed to win in her sole start. In her latest start at Ascot Park on 8 February 2017, she was ridden by Courtney Barnes and finished out of the placings, behind the winner She Rocks. That race marked the end of her career, with her final run on 8 February 2017 at Ascot Park.
