About
Idle Flyer is a 5yo bay mare from Australia, trained by Matthew Smith. She descends from stallion Dundeel and dam Progressive. With a Group One victory and career earnings of $1,338,175, she is classified as an elite racehorse. On 11 Apr 2026 at Randwick, jockey Zac Lloyd guided her to her biggest triumph, winning the $1,000,000 Queen of the Turf Stakes over Lady Shenandoah. Throughout her career she has been a lucrative pick for bettors; a backer would have realized a 39% return on investment.
