About
Piggyback is a 6yo chestnut mare from Australia, trained by Ciaron Maher in Ballarat. She is by Trapeze Artist out of Wowee. As a stakes winner with $686,200 in career earnings, she is regarded as a racehorse of above‑average ability. On 21 February 2026 at Rosehill Gardens, jockey Dylan Gibbons guided her to her most important win, the $250,000.00 Parramatta Cup, defeating Bois D'argent. She has been a profitable runner for punters; backing her throughout her career would have produced a 37% return on investment.
