About
The Spirit Of Zero is a 6yo bay gelding from Australia, trained by Yassy Nishitani in Spreyton. He is by Needs Further out of Fuji Spirit. A stakes winner with career earnings of $221,835, he is considered an above‑average racehorse. On 5 February 2023 at Launceston, ridden by Ismail Toker, he captured his biggest victory to date in the $150,000 Gold Sovereign, beating Needs Sugar. Punters have found him profitable; backing him over his career would have yielded a 9% return on investment.
