Adelaide River Racing Track

Adelaide River Racecourse is located around an hour and a half south of Darwin along the Stuart Highway and offers a shaded, relaxed racing retreat. The picturesque grounds provide a range of race day activities and facilities, making it an enjoyable destination for visitors.

The track has a maximum circuit distance of 1,700m and most races are run over 1000m, making it particularly well suited to speedy sprinters.

Following the day’s racing, the festivities often continue with live music and the traditional game of two-up. The meeting also features local thoroughbreds, fashion displays, and activities for children. Visitors can even camp overnight on the course and enjoy a meal of the famous Adelaide River barramundi.
