Balaklava Racing Track

Balaklava Racecourse is located around 99km north of Adelaide’s CBD in the small yet historically rich farming town of Balaklava.

The track is expansive, featuring a circumference of 2,053m and an impressive 453m home straight—the longest in South Australia. This lengthy run to the finish gives horses extra time to launch their challenge and puts on a strong spectacle for locals watching from the grandstand, which is more than a century old.

Racegoers can enjoy a lively mix of food, wine, and fashion when the venue hosts its annual feature meeting, the Balaklava Cup.
