Gilgandra Racing Track

Gilgandra Racecourse is situated around 456km north-west of Sydney in central western New South Wales.

The venue is set within a region rich in cultural heritage and strong agricultural traditions. Gilgandra is fondly known by locals as the “Town of Windmills”, a nickname dating back to a period when numerous windmills dotted the surrounding landscape.

The track has a circumference of 1,663m, and while the home straight is relatively short at just 160m, it presents a final challenge with a slight rise leading to the winning post.
