Info
Gunnedah Racecourse is located in the Namoi Valley, approximately 411km north of Sydney. Gunnedah is widely known as the “Koala Capital of Australia” thanks to its healthy koala population, but on Gunnedah Cup Day, the spotlight firmly shifts to the thoroughbred horses.
The local community turns out in force for race day, with crowds gathering trackside to enjoy the atmosphere and try their luck backing a few winners. The racecourse features a circuit with a circumference of 1,800m, highlighted by a relatively tight final turn that leads into the long 400m start–finish straight.
