Hanging Rock Racing Track

Hanging Rock Racecourse is located just five minutes from the iconic geological landmark of Hanging Rock and comes alive on New Year’s Day and Australia Day. These are the only two race meetings held at the venue each year, and both are known for delivering memorable racing action.

The track is compact, with a maximum distance of just 1,400m and a 275m home straight. However, the appeal of Hanging Rock Racecourse extends well beyond the racing itself. Twice a year, crowds gather to soak up the intimate, carnival-style atmosphere, complete with live music and performances set against the dramatic backdrop of Hanging Rock.
