Mildura Racing Track

Mildura Racecourse is set in the centre of the Mildura region, approximately 550km north-west of Melbourne. The venue overlooks sweeping vineyards and the winding Murray River, allowing racegoers to enjoy a relaxed waterside atmosphere that is unique to the course.

The track presents its own set of challenges, with a relatively compact 1,765m circuit. Despite its shorter overall length, it features a lengthy 390m home straight, which results in tight bends at either end of the track. This layout can make racing from wider barriers particularly demanding.

The Mildura Cup (1400m) is a highlight of the local calendar and is now held in late winter or early spring. During this time, the cool, crisp conditions and surrounding rural scenery combine to make a picnic at the races an especially enjoyable experience.
