Mount Gambier Racecourse is located approximately 439km south-east of Adelaide’s CBD, close to the renowned Blue Lake, which is famous for its changing colours. The venue sits among the town’s many historic buildings in a region that continues to thrive on timber and cattle industries.
The track has a circuit length of 1,850m and features some distinctive traits, including a noticeable “dog-leg” midway along the 400m home straight.
The highlight of the racing calendar is the Mount Gambier Gold Cup, held each May and drawing racegoers from across the Limestone Coast.
