Newcastle (Australia) Racing Track

Newcastle Racecourse is located in the coastal city of Newcastle on the Hunter Coast, near the mouth of the Hunter River. Just over a two-hour drive from Sydney, it holds the distinction of being the largest provincial racecourse in New South Wales. The venue features excellent facilities, including eight function rooms, multiple bars, and trackside marquees that provide clear views of the racing, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all visitors.

The track has a symmetrical oval layout with a maximum circuit distance of 2,000m. The surface is completely flat, with races finishing along a generous 415m home straight.

A highlight of the calendar is the Boxing Day meeting, when Newcastle Racecourse takes on a lively, party-like atmosphere as racing fans and social groups gather for the annual event.
