Port Augusta Racecourse is located about 306km north of Adelaide at the head of Spencer Gulf.
The town’s peaceful waterfront setting, combined with the striking scenery of the Flinders Ranges, creates an outstanding backdrop for a day at the races. Each July, both locals and visitors turn out in large numbers for the Port Augusta Cup, the venue’s feature event, run over 2250m.
The track itself features a sand surface with a circumference of 2,100m and is well equipped with a range of patron-friendly facilities, including multiple bars catering to both members and the general public.
