Tamworth Racing Track

Tamworth, located around 420km north of Sydney, is best known for its famous annual country music festival, making it fitting that Tamworth Racecourse hosts the popular Country Music Cup alongside its feature event, the Tamworth Cup.

The track layout consists of bends and curves for roughly 70 per cent of the lap, with the remaining section made up by a 360m home straight. The full circuit measures 1,830m in circumference and features a 3 per cent banking from the 800m mark into the start–finish straight, helping horses racing wider on the track compete on more even terms.

Beyond racing, Tamworth Racecourse is also a popular venue for a range of events, with function facilities and well-maintained lawns bordered by striking rose gardens providing an attractive setting for gatherings of all kinds.
