Terang Racing Track

Terang Racecourse is located in the heart of western Victoria, approximately 215km from Melbourne.

Often referred to as the “Flemington of the bush”, Terang Racecourse is bordered by expansive grassed picnic areas where racegoers can set up and enjoy a full day of country racing in a relaxed setting.

A historic iron grandstand runs along much of the straight and, despite its classic appearance, houses excellent modern facilities. Spectators gather in front of this impressive structure to watch horses thunder down the 20m wide, 400m home straight, passing beautifully maintained rose gardens that add to the charm and character of the venue.

Key race days on the Terang calendar include New Year’s Day Racing, Easter Saturday Racing, and the feature event of the year, the Terang Cup.
