Info
Toowoomba Racecourse, also known as Clifford Park Racecourse, is located approximately 130km west of Brisbane.
The venue is best known for two key features. The first is its fully synthetic cushion track, which was introduced in mid-2009. The second is its long-standing association with night racing, with meetings regularly held on Saturday evenings. Toowoomba made Australian racing history in 1992 when it staged the nation’s first race under lights, followed by the first full night meeting in 1996.
The synthetic circuit has a maximum distance of 1,750m and finishes along a 350m home straight. Each autumn, large crowds travel to Toowoomba for Weetwood Race Day, which hosts the track’s signature races, the Toowoomba Cup and the Weetwood Handicap.
