Info

Traralgon Racecourse is located around 164km from Melbourne in the town of Traralgon, the largest centre in the Latrobe Valley. Race meetings at the venue are embraced by locals as important social occasions that bring the community together, rather than simply being a day of racing.

Set alongside a national park and historic buildings, the racecourse features a compact, rounded layout with a maximum circuit distance of 1,600m and a relatively short 240m home straight. All four turns are wide and well cambered, providing smooth racing conditions.

The feature event at the track is the Traralgon Cup, which was formerly run during the summer but has since been moved to spring to form part of Victoria’s Spring Racing Carnival. Other popular meetings include the Traralgon Classic and the Latrobe Valley Cup, both of which attract large crowds who take advantage of the wide range of marquee and function packages available.
