Camperdown Race course is located 200kms south-west of Melbourne and has a maximum distance of 2000m and a straight that is 385m long. The turns on the course are very long and wide giving every competitor a reasonable chance of winning a race from any barrier position. Camperdown is renowned for its heritage listed, iron made grandstand where race fans can grab a drink and position themselves with the best view of the thundering thoroughbreds flying past the winning post on the biggest day of the year, The Camperdown Cup day.
