The Hamilton Racecourse is located on the rich agricultural plain between the coastline and The Grampians known as The Western Districts, about 4 hours from Melbourne. The track is lined by traditional structures that still maintain a vintage look. The Puramaka Room, The Sir Agrifo Room and The Apex Room offer a variety of set ups for race day functions, weddings and birthdays. The course has a maximum distance of just over 2,000m and a home straight which is 400m long. The Hamilton racecourse holds about 10 meetings in a year, including many jumps races, but the course's feature race is The Hamilton Cup which is run in April.
