Closer to the track lies beautifully landscaped gardens that provide a picturesque scene for horse racing action. The 1,735m circumference of the course harbours a gruelling uphill straight of 320m. Between 45 and 50 race meets are held in a year and the venue is popular for its wide variety of facilities off the course, including a trackside bistro and TAB where punters can bet whilst they hear the sound of thundering hooves go flying past the winning post. Once a year punters make the one hour drive to Kilmore Racecourse for the track's annual feature race, The Kilmore Cup.
