The Mount Gambier Racecourse is found some 439kms south-east of the Adelaide CBD near the exquisite 'Blue Lake' which is famous for its colour changes. The Racecourse sits aptly amongst the town’s abundance of historical buildings in an area still thriving on its timber and cattle industry. The course has some unique characteristics throughout its 1850m lap, including what many refer to as a 'dog leg' halfway down the 400m home straight. The Mount Gambier Gold Cup takes its place as the feature event held in May of each year, attracting many a race fan from the Limestone Coast.
