The Newcastle Racecourse is found in the steel city of Newcastle on the glorious Hunter Coast at the mouth of the Hunter River. At just over two hours by car from Sydney, Newcastle Racecourse holds the title of being the largest provincial racecourse in NSW. With superb facilities including 8 different function rooms, multiple bars and marquees with clear views of the track, the course has something to offer everybody looking for a memorable race day experience. The Course has a symmetrically oval shaped layout with a maximum distance of 2000m. A lap of the track is entirely flat and ends down the 415m home straight. Newcastle Racecourse produces its own brand of party atmosphere on Boxing Day when race fans and social groups alike flock to the course for the annual Boxing Day race meet.
