In the agricultural town of Seymour lies the Seymour racecourse. The course is located 100kms from Melbourne over the Goulburn River and just off the Hume Highway. The all-weather grass track is full of history and set in a classic style country setting. Along with its 1800m circumference, Seymour racecourse has a well grassed, 380m straight providing plenty of space for race goers to view the race day action, be it on course or off course with fashions on the field. In October, Seymour's premier event, the Darley Seymour Cup is held and always attracts spectators from all over Victoria and beyond to enjoy a complete days racing, and the excellent facilities.
