Stawell Racecourse is located just off the Western Highway approximately 240kms from Melbourne. Not far from the Grampians National Park, the area is full of vibrant, natural attractions set in a traditional gold mining town. The viewing hills that run parallel to the 250m home straight were made in the late 1800's by miners who were digging for gold.Overall the track has a maximum distance of 1600m, with a small uphill gradient between 800m and 1200m marks.
