The Toowoomba Racecourse is also known as Clifford Park Racecourse and can be found 130kms west of Brisbane. The course is renowned for two reasons, the first being the its synthetic cushion surface which was introduced mid way through 2009 and the second being its regular staging of night races which are held every Saturday. The first of these ‘twighlight’ races made Australian racing history in 1992 as the first ever race in the country to be held under lights, but it wasn’t until 1996 that the first full night meeting was held. The course’s fully synthetic layout stretches for a maximum 1750m with the lap ending down the 350m long straight. Many a race goer will make the trek to Toowoomba Racecourse during Autumn for the Weetwood Race Day for the running of the course’s main events: The Toowoomba Cup and the Weetwood Handicap.Feature Races:MarchToowoomba Cup 2100mWeetwood Handicap 1200m
