The Wangaratta Race Course has been at its present site since 1855, a 3 hour drive north-east from the Melbourne CBD. In a peaceful rural region renowned for its world class food and wine, the Wangaratta racecourse brings the area to life with its own touch of class in the form of high quality thoroughbred racing on a premier style course.The course itself has a reputation of its own with a unique 1730m layout that has a 4.25m drop from the 1000m mark all the way to the 600m mark, and then a 3m rise along the 350m home straight which sorts the contenders from the pretenders.The Wangaratta Turf Club holds 10 race meetings a year, and it is in April when the number one event is held, The Wangaratta Cup.Feature Races:MarchWangaratta Cup 2010m
