About
Excelsior, a 10-year-old bay gelding from Australia, is trained by Gwenda Markwell. Bred by Poet's Voice out of Dream Machine, Excelsior has secured 4 victories in his career. On September 19, 2018, at Warwick Farm, he achieved his most notable win, taking home the prize in the $50,000 Benchmark 72 Handicap. Excelsior has been a lucrative choice for bettors, offering a 31% return on investment for those who backed him throughout his career. After his final race on September 21, 2019, at Royal Randwick, Excelsior retired from racing.
