About
The Scunner is a 7yo bay gelding (male) trained by Ashley Meadows at Awapuni. He is by the stallion Shamexpress out of Miss Daphne. As a stakes winner with $221,765 in earnings, The Scunner is considered a racehorse of above‑average ability. On 6 Dec 2025 at Trentham, ridden by K Myers, he secured his most notable victory, winning the $120,000 Open Handicap over Mystic Park. He has consistently delivered value for punters, and a career‑long backing would have yielded a 71% return on investment.
